COVID-19 Citizen Science participants and cannabis use on 4/20

We polled COVID-19 Citizen Scientists about their cannabis consumption on 4/20, an unofficial holiday celebrating its use.

8% (1,031 people) of the 12,232 people who responded reported using cannabis on 4/20. Most people used edibles, followed by smoking, then vaping.

63% of people who used cannabis on 4/20 used cannabis recreationally, while the remainder used cannabis medicinally. The top 5 reported medicinal reasons for cannabis use were: sleep, pain, anxiety, depression, and nausea.

Thanks to all of our participants for your continued contributions to the COVID-19 Citizen Science study!
